Please note that at present our activities are suspended due to Coronovirus restrictions.

Isle of Wight Green Gym is an independent community group with over a decade of volunteering experience. By getting involved in practical conservation work we aim to benefit the countryside of the Isle of Wight, and improve our health at the same time.

We meet every Wednesday morning throughout the year at venues right across the Island. Please click on the links (left) to find out more about us;  to view our current programme click here.

As at July 2019 over 600 people had taken part since we started, and we had worked at over 175 different locations across the Isle of Wight. Allowing for average attendance, that amounted to well over 58,000 man hours!

On our 800th session on 4 September 2019, we worked on a wide variety of tasks in the gardens and car park of the Riverside Centre, Newport. Click here to read our Blog.

In 2009 we were awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award given to volunteer groups for outstanding work in their own communities. Please click here for the full story.
